Bynar

Biography
Bynar is a DJ, music producer, and longtime explorer of indie rock, post-punk, and electronic music. His work moves between moody atmospheres and danceable beats, influenced by everything from early goth and industrial to alternative rock and electronic experimentation.
Early Influences and Musical Evolution
Drawn to the haunting sounds of The Cure, the synth-driven pulse of Depeche Mode, and the gothic grandeur of The Sisters of Mercy, Bynar’s musical tastes took shape early. The ‘90s rave scene introduced a different energy—The Prodigy’s breakbeats, jungle’s deep bass, and happy hardcore’s euphoria. Alongside this, alternative rock and industrial acts like The Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan, and Marilyn Manson left their mark, shaping the way he approached sound and rhythm.
From Indie Nights to International Airwaves
In the early 2000s, as post-punk revival bands like Interpol, Editors, and The Killers emerged, Bynar was drawn to the indie rock scene. He started running club nights, sharing these sounds with packed dance floors. This led to radio, where he curated shows blending indie, post-punk, darkwave, and electronic music. In 2007, he launched the Indie Disco podcast, a two-hour dive into alternative sounds. With nearly 200 episodes, the show continues to highlight underground gems and cult classics. You can listen to Bynar’s podcasts and radio shows on Mixcloud.
Mashups and Experimentation
During the same period, Bynar became part of the mashup scene but approached it differently, blending alternative, gothic, industrial, and electronic elements rather than following mainstream trends. His mashups, often layered with breakbeats or drum & bass, have been streamed over a million times. They are available for streaming and free download on Bandcamp.
Exploring the Unknown
More recently, Bynar has explored AI-assisted music production. His latest project, Eldritch Dreams, is an indie rock/post-punk album inspired by the eerie poetry of H.P. Lovecraft, merging literature with modern composition techniques.
Bynar’s work continues to evolve, whether through DJ sets, mashups, radio shows, or experimental music projects—all connected by a fascination with atmosphere, storytelling, and dark sounds.
